		+	Yeah, basically the title captures the main aspect. After obtaining some biohazard-type suits for the hoppers to protect against the bioweapon hazards, the Owsla Irregulars went back past the old barrier.

		+	There they found a zero-gee zone choked full of fungal vines, and as they made their way across encountered a thicker knot. Using some active scans in the x-ray band, they could see the telltale carapace shape of a Xoid.

		+	However, the active EM emissions appeared to have riled something up, and they heard something approach at a sprint. They hid, which was easy to do in the thick fronds, and saw a confused Xoid converge on the x-ray origin and then fully occupied by examining the digested husk of the dead Xoid.

		+	The team crept out, and saw a jumbled zone covered in a thick mat of fuzzy frondy fungal growth. One small mound was recently burst open, with a few more apparently-inactive Xoids still huddled inside. Many other larger mounds looked ominous, while others were bizarrely angular.

		+	Further inspection was cut short as the active Xoid emerged from the zero-gee zone, and immediately attacked the group. It was a tough old Xoid.

		+	Chuffed from their unstoppableness mopping up waves of Rothu invaders, the Owsla Irregulars decided to get a bit of payback, and possibly some compensation from the Rothu incursions.

		+	There was very little initial resistance, but the team noticed some flashes in the background where they couldn't clearly see what was transpiring. Creeping a bit closer, they were able to spot another hunter team - this time three beings in matchy-matchy business suits, plus one hulking well-equipped monster. The HWEM was observed to be standing by while the suit bros took pot-shots at technically-resisting Rothu squaddies. Plus pumping occasional test shots into the inert bodies of some sacrificed Hoppers.

		+	Intrigued by the challenge presented, the team shifted priorities and decided to advance on the hunting party behind some cover and engage at long range. They jumped out and made some pot-shots at the HWEM. It responded by pulling out and launching an intermediate scale RPG. The AoE weapon caused some minor harm to most of the party, but slammed Heltu hard - their main ranged combatant.

		+	Not wanting to absorb another RPG hit, the Owsla Irregulars retreated while keeping behind cover. And from there they ran all the way back to their healing warehouse deep inside Clan Chevobrog territory.

		+	==2026-05-10 - What's Over There?==

		+	The team returns to the plan for heading into Rothu, with the hope that the monstrous hunting party has since departed. And indeed, it did seem to be withdrawing after the Owsla Irregular's appearance last time.

		+	Sure enough, as they pushed back into Rothu territory there were no further signs of the previous hunting party. So instead they started exploring. The Rothu forces were reluctant to engage with the Owsla Irregulars, and asked them to leave - from a safe distance.

		+	Pramorg was adamant that nobody would get hurt - as long as they didn't impede or threaten the team. As they continued in closer, they were able to see sizeable numbers of Jacks and Hoppers fleeing from their dormitory buildings - far more than the remaining population in Chevobrog. Eventually, they were pressing the Rothu population into a corner, and the combatant forces were arranging themselves to surround and fight to the death.

		+	Perhaps sensing the helplessness and pointlessness of forcing a conflict in this way, the OI started questioning the fundamental structure of the Clans and forces in the generation ship. Why didn't the Rothu Jacks just join the Chevobrog revolution and throw over their Hopper overlords? Well, mostly because they saw the carnage and devastation that was the result in Chevobrog. Why didn't both Chevobrog and Rothu have more contact with the Outworlders on the far side from Chevobrog? Mostly because they were incredibly delicious (Jacks +1 delicious, Hoppers +2 delicious). What was on the far side of Clan Rothu territory?

		+	Ah, nobody really knew that. Apparently the realm of the "Lost Clan", who were destroyed in the "original invasion". Papa Hopper said that Chevobrog had shared nothing about that border for generations, and the current Rothu were similarly unhelpful about what might currently be there. BUT - they were perfectly happy to have the OI go that way and investigate for themselves.

		+	What they found was a patched up array of cobbled-together barricades, layered over a larger and more significant failed barrier. Peering through a small gap, they saw a 3-tonne robotic caterpillar gnawing blithely on the edge of the ancient barrier. Additionally, they saw skeletonized remains of scores of dead beings of varying configurations - all covered with viny ropes of moss and fungus.

		+	They decided to bash through, the loud echoes of which attenuated off into nothingness in a manner most eerie. Crossing through to the failed barrier, they hacked away some fungal blooms from one of the holes blasted through. With a jolt they were staring into the face of a ship-scale insect.

		+	The Rothu assault teams deployed a sound tactical advance, avoiding bunching up to be exposed to AoE weapons, minimized exposures to sight lines, and with a sniper team backing up the advance.

	Eventually, a squad of outworlder goons were dispatched to "escourt" the Chevobrog forces away from the vicinity of the claimed guard station. These goons were very well equipped, though somewhat inconsistently, and clearly professional in their capabilities. It was a good fight, but the goons were not up to dealing with the Owsla Irregulars backed up with 2 squads of Jacks. 		+	Tension was high after the brutal encounter with the outworlder goons, with the other outworlders locked up inside the guard station. The non-aggressive Groten and Zygroten couple step out (the station door snaps shut after them) and they get permission to leave peacefully. Then the Owsla Irregulars warn the remaining Reptiloid outworlder to surrender and let them in. The negotiation is augmented by one of the doors being smashed in by the hurled corpses of the outworlder goons. The technician, named GRIIBO, negotiated not just his ability to leave but also Heltu-ensured future non-aggression. He did this by re-configuring his proffesionally set up security upgrades in the guard station (including intermediate scale electric streams and shields), and by giving Pramorg his personal tool pack.

		+	While recovering in the reclaimed guard station, another pair approached from the directions of the Outworlders section. One was a familiar figure - the grizzled Massetin. The other was a serpentine being with a bowl helmet. They approached openly and warily. The Aqualoid informed the team that he was something of a "goon union steward", and worked to help make life on this weird ship prison less awful for more people. And mentioned that the gear the team had claimed would potentially mark them for future excitement. The advanced symbiotic weapons would likely be sought for reclamation by Gripper Of Things (the nominal evil overlord with the fold space), and the mil spec helmets were very clearly meant for people aligned with the "Underboss", a violent leader of violently-inclined folks, and he tended to operate on an "eye for an eye" basis.

		+	The first approach revealed 2 outlanders, a surly Massetin and a highly suspicious but inviting Reptiloid. Tensions rose as the Owsla Irregulars insisted on Chevobrog re-occupying the guard station the outlanders want to keep for sake of generally improved visibility on "monsters". The Massetin was impressed by the logic proffered by the team, but replied that they weren't sufficient to allow such a transaction - so went to make the case to their superiors.

A couple reg-force Rothu Jacks went to rescue the Commando Hopper, and by being away from the main fight ended up being the only ones left alive. 		+	Waiting for the Owsla Irregulars and the two Chevobrog Jack squads spot a Clan Rothu squad standing behind the nominal cover of the guard station. The cover being nominal, in that it was clearly out of the line of sight of the other guard stations and all the monsters that have traversed recently, but not from the direction the Owsla Irregulars were approaching from. More to the point, the Rothu were not equipped with any scopes capable of penetrating the 50-meter visual limit dampening effect. So they were technically oblivious to the approach of the Chevobrog forces.

		+	There was some foolish discussion about giving up that intrinsic tactical advantage for the sake of diplomacy and giving the Rothu a chance to disengage and leave the Chevobrog zone. However, the messy streaks of stolen foodstuffs hastily pilfered from the denuded Chevobrog silo area running right past the Rothu squad decided their fates. After arraying in a classic ambush kill zone pattern using a nearby probably-empty bunker, they started harrying the Rothu squad. Which quickly turned into 2 Rothu squads complete with Hopper commanders. They were soundly turned, and they fled back into the guard station.
