A Vimren is a small, scrawny biped. They have dry wrinkled skin, long greasy hair sprouting from the top of their heads, and bloodshot red eyes that glow bright when the Vimren is enraged. They are always bony, lean and look underfed because of their hyperactive metabolism.

No one knows where Vimrens originated, but it seems that they have been present wherever interstellar travel has been possible. Vimrens tend to lurk with the dregs of society, scavenging their way though the shadows of civilization.

Vimrens are one of the only species with a skill maximum. It is extremely rare for a Vimren to be higher than 2nd stage. The primary survival traits of the Vimren race are their speed, tendency to keep out of the way, and ability to reproduce quickly. The only time a typical Vimren will attack is when their numbers give them a distinct advantage, or when they get hungry enough.
