The Yiptaks are the largest of the eyestalk bearing bipeds, and arguably the least pleasant.

Physically, they are similar to the other common bipeds in arrangement and proportion, though slightly larger. They stand an impressive 2 to 2.5 meters tall, and seem even taller with their eyestalks held high. They are covered in short, bristling fur of varying colour and are relatively quite strong - capable of being up to hypernormal (7) in strength.

Mentally, Yiptak Trops have an extremely narrow range - actually they have no range. Their intelligence is always average (3), other than ones that have suffered brain damage or have been mentally augmented. While this does mean that they are limited as a species to having no exceptionally intelligent individuals, it also means that they do not have any really stupid members as well. In historic Yiptak society, this, combined with their impressive strength, has lead them to be extremely arrogant. Even Yiptaks not exposed to classic Yiptak Trop society are noted to be prone to arrogance.

Yiptak society is plagued with an ancient feud that was started in the early days of galactic exploration. This feud, which is between the Yiptaks and the Grotens, seems to have no basis or point. There was never any actual large-scale conflict between Grotens and Yiptak Trops and at a distance, they tolerate each other reluctantly. But when small groups chance to meet, there is a good chance a fight will break out - usually started by a Yiptak.
