These simple bipeds are one of the benchmark races in the known galaxies. They have achieved a distribution and a level of influence rivalled by very few other species. They are relatively plain looking, skin ranging from light to dark brown, sparse hair, mostly on the tops of their heads, a standard biped body, and average sensory abilities.
The history of the Human race shows an advancement to the space age in one of the shortest times relative to any other known species. However, at first glance a Human seems to lack any obvious specialisation that would allow them to excel in this way. They have a wide range of physical and mental attributes and are capable of adapting well to different environments and societies. However, none of these facts account for the speed which this species has advanced.
A closer look reveals that their distinction lies in their manipulating limbs. A Human's hands are exceptionally dextrous and sensitive, making Humans extremely adept tool users. This simple attribute allowed them to advance and build their civilisation to the interstellar age in a very short time.
Although Humans have partnered with the rest of the interstellar species to achieve their most spectacular achievements, they seem to have a considerable inclination for xenophobic behaviour. While the majority of the species has the normal range of personality types, humans are perceived to also have individuals of extraordinary ambition, perception, and malevolence. These traits, along with the power and influence some of the species have obtained, have made Humans one of the most habitually mistrusted species.
