Turret
"Turret" has a particular functional definition for the purposes of combat mechanics:
A turret is an entity that is capable of action, but not motion.
Turrets can exist on buildings, ships, and riders of steeds can count as "turrets".
For a stationary turret, this means that the dice pool does not include reactions - so a stationary turret has only 2 dice to utilize on their turn.
For a turret on a moving entity, the moving entity strongly influences how many dice may be used for a turret's action.
- The turret may use as many dice from the dice pool for attacks or actions as the moving entity dedicates for attacks and actions in a given turn.
- Dice that are dedicated for defence can only be used to parry by the turret (if that is possible).
- Dice that are used for movement cannot be used by a turret, is it mostly just has to hang on and try not to get disoriented.
Additionally, turrets that have either 2 stages in a relevant occupation, or are seasoned, get one bonus die for attacks or actions during a turn OR for parrying during a reaction. Bonus turret dice can never be in adjacent actions/reactions.
The total die pool can never exceed 4, regardless of how many are donated or bonus turret dice.
